Western Australian Designer Boutique.

I just got home from the launch night of Perth's WA Designer Boutique, a cute pop up store in the heart of Perth city. The store is only here for three weeks so move fast to purchase items from LittleGracie, Bhalo, On tour and Generics Accessories, just to name a few. Also I FINALLY have my business cards sorted. Thanks so much for everyone that helped with the creation of the cards, I appreciate it!

Grass stained knees.

Hello all! Here are some behind the scenes shots from our Little Gracie Spring/Summer 2011/12 Campaign. We took three beautiful girls up to the hills for a day of frolicking, prancing and shivering (it was FREEZING today!) The campaign will feature a video clip as well as still images from the day, and with a French Garden, peach picnic rug and flowers galore you are all in for a treat!

Next week I will be working on a test shoot with Claire from Stolen from Grandma and then hopping on a plane to Sydney for a Bobbi Brown training week. Oh and Ebony, the designer for Little Gracie is currently in Paris so a big huge thankyou needs to go to Claire for organising this in her absence!

Like a proud mother.

Little Gracie has a neat little write up and a big picture in the latest issue of Scoop, a West Australian based lifestyle magazine. The page is showing off a piece from the A/W 2011 range and i felt like a proud mother when i saw it!

Carnations, Roses and Chrysanthemum’s. Oh My!

I have spoken about Little Gracie on here before, many times in fact. The designer, Ebony, is a friend of mine and she ever so nicely asked me do the makeup for her label, an opportunity that I am ever so grateful for!

This Thursday we shot her Spring/Summer Look book in front of a huge shrine of flowers, painstakingly created by Ebony and her little team of helpers (Hannah and Cam from All Of The Above Creative and us.) The overall look was very Seventies, with pastel shades on the eyes to match the pastel hues in garments.

As per usual I can’t show you the clothing until the line is released, but I can give you a little peek into the day’s activities. I would like to send out a big fat thankyou to my college friend for doing our model Phillipa’s hair, it turned out amazing!

Pretty in Pink.

The picture above is a little teaser for you all... this is the look we are going for in the Spring/Summer range for Little Gracie. How pretty! Oh and for those of you who have been wondering, my Gorgeous brush roll has been a life saver so far! I have used it on a few people and they have commented on how soft the bristles are, which is always a good thing, and the precision when applying product is wonderful. I definitely recommend these brushes!

Little Gracie is a Perth label created by Ebony Harding and it is full of ruffles, layers and darling designs. I’ve spoken about Little Gracie on here before; and I also had the pleasure of creating the make up for Little Gracie’s A/W Look Book last year.

When I caught up with Ebony at lunch the other day she mentioned how busy she was and that she desperately needs a helping hand. Here is what Ebony needs assistance with:

• Assisting with the organisation of photo shoots, behind and on set

• Dealing with production and dispatch

• Paperwork

• Assisting with Spring/Summer 2011/2011

• Assisting with final Winter orders

• Assistance with sewing (desirable)

Ebony would like the lucky lad or lady to assist her at least one day a week until mid March. 

Of course the work would be unpaid as this is a work experience opportunity. Unfortunately this opportunity is not open for people living out of Australia.

An ice cream a day keeps the doctor away.

Hello there! Last week was a hard week for me; you know when you want to stay in the house and never leave? That was me. Saturday I didn’t leave the couch all day, until S told me he was taking me out for Thai and wine in an effort to bring me back to life. It worked and I feel inspired again! Pictures and happy thoughts will follow this week. Today I would like to share some happy snaps that were taken prior to my reclusive state. Along with a blurry shot of S and Mushy sleeping i have also included a sneaky peak into Little Gracie’s A/W line, just for you!

Ring around the Roses.

On Sunday I had the wonderful opportunity of creating the makeup for Little Gracie’s Autumn Winter Look Book. Joining S and I  for the day was stylist extraordinaire Hannah McGrath, her lovely boyfriend and photographer Cameron Etchells, our stunning model Pamika Reynolds, and the designer for Little Gracie, Ebony Harding.

We trekked out to Araluen Botanical gardens for the day and created some wonderful looks. As the look book has not been released yet I cannot show you the clothing, but I can give you a sneak peek into the preparation of the day and the makeup that I created and the hair I assisted with. I hope you like!

Fashion Fights Breast Cancer.

 Little Gracie, jungle fever, amazingly cute girls and chanel cupcakes.

When you live in a small city like Perth it can be very easy to be dragged down amongst the small town haters that seem to frequent most bars, clubs and events. You know, those people that insist the show you are watching is sub par or the club you are at is "just not as good as the one in Melbourne". 

Since starting this blog i have had the opportunity to explore alot more of Perth than i usually would and i can see that there is so much going on here, if you just look. Last night  was a perfect example of this. We had the chance to view  upcoming Western Australian labels, mingle with the designers and have a few drinks with some amazingly well dressed women. I felt proud to be in Perth and smugly thought... Suck on it haters.

Popsicle - A delight in more ways than one

Not long guys! If you are a Perth resident make sure you pen Popsicle into your diaries. 
My work is sponsoring this event and my friend Ebony, who I've blogged about before is one of the designers featured. Unfortunately i wont be able to spend much time down at the Cultural Centre as i will be busy moving house, but i am looking forward to my fellow bloggers covering the event! 
I will be taking a blogging hiatus for the next 3 weeks, just until i am settled in my new apartment.
I cant think about any thing else right now... IKEA, Interior Design Mags and new LCD TV's are plaguing my mind. Adios! and ill see you all soon.

Its fffffffrriiiddaaayyy!

My first week back at work is nearly over, and i have a mammoth weekend full of birthdays and babies ahead of me. S is home sick the poor thing, i think jetting around the world may have worn him out. The first birthday i have to celebrate is my good friends 21st.

Every one say "Happy Birthday!" to Ebony.

Little Gracie is a beautiful collection of ruffles and pastel which seem to have been made for a spring wedding or a lazy picnic in the sun.

Ebony’s delightful personality shines through in all her pieces and she has often passed on a coffee with me so that she can that lovingly hand sew each dress!

Ebony has been featured in multiple articles showcasing Perth Design and has also been involved with the Perth Fashion Festival for two years running.
